OUR MISSION
Disease outbreaks, lengthening life expectancies, and sedentary lifestyles are impacting hospitals and public health sectors around the globe. The MIT Abdul Latif Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health (Jameel Clinic) incubates research at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and life sciences with the belief that AI presents a powerful opportunity to improve the early detection of disease—cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and a host of chronic disease such as diabetes, kidney disease, and asthma—and aid in the personalization of treatment for these diseases.
About UsFounded in 2018 as a joint initiative between Community Jameel and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Abdul Latif Jameel Clinic for Machine Learning in Health (Jameel Clinic) aims to shine a light on the transformative impact on AI in health through supporting cutting-edge research in clinical AI and drug discovery. In reimagining how AI can impact health, we believe that the development of trustworthy and ethical AI models must be at the forefront of all AI research.
